N810KJ is a Bombardier Global 7500 — the Canadian answer to the big Gulfstreams, and for a while the longest-range purpose-built business jet in the world. It will fly further than most airliners, with four genuinely separate cabin zones and a bed that is a bed rather than a converted seat.
By our own log it is among the most frequently airborne aircraft on this roster, which is the point of putting it here.
This aeroplane became a talking point in 2022 over the length of its flights rather than their number — journeys short enough that the climb and descent make up most of the trip. That criticism is easy to make badly, so it is worth being precise about what a tracker can and cannot tell you. Our log records that an aircraft was airborne and the height it reached. It does not record who was aboard, whether the leg was carrying passengers at all, or whether it was a repositioning flight flown empty to collect someone somewhere else. A large share of business-jet movements are exactly that, and they look identical from the ground.
